According to the table tennis laws, the racket can be of any size and shape. I am wondering why there are not many different racket shapes other than the oval-like shape around. Especially for hand-shakers, all rackets have almost the exact same shape. Let's try to redesign it. Let's start with the goals: - The new design must follow the table tennis laws: any size and shape but must be made of wood. Reinforcing with fiber is allowed but must be less than 7.5% of the thickness. - Let's try to make our new racket as light as possible. The fact is that the lighter the racket is, the easier you can make a sudden move with it. - Let's try to make our new racket so that we can produce more spins. Spins can be generated a lot more if the ball contact point is far from the handle. Should we make the head of the racket bigger?
