Isn't cotton shirt good for absorbtion of sweat than a polyester?

Cotton is the garment to go for a sweat-filled body.

An alternative is the material made by Adidas Dry-fit apparel which claimed to drain your sweat out of the garment as compared with absorbing your sweat in the garment.

The guys in my club who wear cotton T-shirts quickly have a soaking wet heavy shirt. I bought several very light polyester shirts from Target and they are great. They feel like you are wearing nothing and they stay dry. it is no use to have a shirt that soaks up sweat if that wet shirt stays wrapped around your body while you play.

Well, what do you do if your shirt is soaking wet? Change it, of course.
This is another alternative which most of my friends do in my country (hot tropical climate + humid too). We normally bring 2 to 3 T-shirts for a round of table tennis ( 2-3 hours.

Dunno about you guys but I wear everything I can get my hands on and each time I play I would normally bring 4 to 5 shirts I would change after 2 to 3 gamesfor comfort I like cotton shirts.but my favourite is Cotton Cool Plus its great for most strenuous exercise & all sports. Coolplus,a fiber of unique cross section and fabric construction presents with an unequaled feel of cool, dry and comfort. You can enjoy any activity no matter the weather or climate. The fabric does not stick to the skin and it feels really light. Hope you can find this material coz its so comfortable and there nothing like it
