LKT XP and XT (not much difference between them, if any) are amazing when glued up. They're great mechanical spin rubbers.

I tried LKT PRO 2.0 mm with a saviga sponge. The rubber has good spin compared to other rubbers I've used but the rubber is slow. The rubber needs to be speed glued. I hate using speed glue because of the work and the health hazards involved.

Yeah, I figured it went without saying. XP is not just slow, it's REALLY slow when unglued. I didn't glue XT when I had it on my penhold backhand but I've hit around with a friend's bat.

Thanks. I tried a 729 Higher which is supposed to be more spinnier than other rubbers. I liked the spin but the 2.2 mm sponge took me out of my control game. On a 70 g paddle I have I felt the rubber is so heavy. I heard that Chinese rubbers are little heavy, and some people like it.

Sometimes I have been confused with the name 729, Friendship, RITC etc... What is the name of the company? Is it Friendship like Butterfly or Donic? What does 729 mean?

I think 729 is the main name of the company. Basically if you have anything that says RITC, or Friendship, it's a 729 product. Funny thing is, there is a rubber that will read RITC 855, but I think that is just considered to be under the 729 brand.

I would like to know. I have less love for chinese rubbers. I think it may because I like European style play away from the table.

729 or 855 are rubbers made by Rubber Institute of Tienjin, China (RITC) under the Friendship brand. There are more 729 rubbers being made as compared with 855 rubbers, hence the popularity of 729.

The other Chinese-made rubber company are DHS (Double Happiness, Shanghai) and Double Fish (based in Guangzhou, China).

Yes, kokutaku is the Japanese version of RITC Friendship but made from different rubber-type.

It is just like Nittaku & DHS tied-up but still mantain the 2 brands in the market.
