Is a Joola Octopus long pimple good for hitting close to the table? What is this rubber similiar to? What is it good for or well known for?

The Joola Octopus 1.0 mm long pips is very similar to TSP Curl P3.

Before I've tried TSP Curl P3, I've thought Joola Octopus is very similar to the TSP Curl P1R. The TSP Curl P1R is not made to hit - you can hit higher balls but not low arc balls. The TSP Curl P3 is very good for hitting low arc floating & underspin balls.

The Joola Octopus can do both defense and attack.

I use the ox version and find it excellent for chops and blocks. I can also loop with it when I get a underspin. My opponent would hit those loops out by a mile because the ball has no spin or little spin and it's very low (not much he can do with that).

That is the right combination for our game. If you play against very good top spin attackers, you need little sponge.
