TSP Spectol is a well know rubber for chopping and hitting. Ding Song of China once used it. Now Hou Ying Chao uses it.

Challenger Attack Butterfly seems to work pretty well for me so far. Good for hitting, control and heavy bottom serve.

Butterfly Challenger Attack..FH
Butterfly Super Anti >>>>>>BH

I was told these 2 short pip rubbers are good :

1) RITC Friendship 802-40

2) TSP spinpips

I have not used RITC Friendship 802-40.

I have recently tried TSP Super Spinpips. I have tried the 1.3, 1.7 and 2.1 mm versions. I would say TSP Super Spinpips is not a choice for "chopping only" rubber. It is an offensive rubber. It suits a one sided penhold players who wants to chop block and top spin / hit.

Just for the backhand, I would suggest TSP Spectol.
